TRAINER | AMY MCINTYRE
Amy McIntyre holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Magma Cum Laude, from Florida Atlantic University. She is also recognized as a National Board Certified educator for her work in early childhood education. She has been teaching in Palm Beach County for 14 years as a kindergarten and first grade teacher. Amy is an avid reader and learner, a mother of two TCS students, and enjoys the outdoors. Amy love of reading and writing has taken her to study at the prestigious Columbia University’s Teachers College Summer Reading Institute in New York City. She used her knowledge of Readers and Writers Workshop to write curriculum for the Palm Beach County School District. She hopes to instill a love and passion for reading and writing to all her students as they grow into strong and confident readers and writers.
Amy's passion for learning continues as she seeks out the best teaching practices and researched based learning strategies. She has taken this love of learning to Washington, D.C., participating in the Kennedy Center Arts Integration Conference. She uses her extensive knowledge of these teaching practices to encourage her students to think critically and creatively. Amy's support for her students as they become independent thinkers, problem solvers and cooperative learners is visible throughout her classroom.

TRAINER | KATIE MOLZER
Katie Molzer holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, with a focus in Cultural Studies, from Florida Atlantic University. After completing further course work she obtained her Professional Teaching Certificate from the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence. Katie has been a teacher for ten years and has taught kindergarten at TCS for five years. Throughout her time as an educator, Katie has sought to expand her understanding of curriculum and teaching practices that encourage engagement and a deeper knowledge of the core content.
She has helped on both a district and school level to provide comprehensive reading curriculum to teachers and has attended reading conferences at the prestigious Teachers College at Columbia University. She is a lead teacher on the literacy team at TCS with the goal of creating practical, effective and engaging reading and writing instruction. Katie holds a strong belief that student-led instruction and arts integration is essential to honoring the whole learner. She has attended arts integration seminars with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and traveled to High Tech High, to implement and perfect these innovative teaching techniques. As a lifelong learner, Katie is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

TRAINER | KRISTIN DELATORRE
Kristin DeLaTorre holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University where she graduated magna cum laude in 2002. She worked as a primary grades teacher at Berkshire Elementary, from 2002 to 2016. During her time there she taught as a classroom, Dual Language, and an ESOL resource teacher. Kristin has also implemented several grade and schoolwide cross-curricular activities, including the Underground Railroad Experience and the World’s Fair. Additionally, she created and presented the “Vivacious Vocabulary” program at the Language and Culture Conference for four straight years.
Kristin started her work at TCS in the fall of 2016. In her time at TCS she has immersed herself in the PBL process and showing her students a greater understanding and empathy for the world beyond themselves. Over the past two years, her students have been involved with, raised money, or donated goods for The Water Project in Africa, UNICEF, El Sol Food Bank, Rocking Horse Charity, The National Honey Bee Conservancy, The World Wildlife Fund, and bought an acre of land in the South American Rainforest. The consistent mantra in her classroom is “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. Kristin has also become an expert in student-led learning, developing and implementing creative practices in the classroom that include rotation days, student-led conferences and workshops.
TRAINER | LOREN FOSTER
Loren Foster received her BFA in Dance from Florida State University with honors in Liberal Studies. A native Floridian, Mrs. Foster trained with many local dance teachers and graduated from the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts as a dance major. She has over 15 years of experience teaching studio classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance at all ages and levels . For the past 7 years, Mrs. Foster has used her studio experience to help design and implement Arts Integrated lessons in association with classroom teachers, inspiring students to learn through music and movement. She can also be seen performing locally with REACH: A Dance Theatre Collective and The Kravis Center's The Dancers’ Space.

TCS PRINCIPAL | DEREK SCHUEMANN
Derek Schuemann, a native of North Palm Beach and graduate of Palm Beach Gardens High School, demonstrates a deep commitment to his community through his dedication to local education. He holds degrees from the University of Florida (BSBA) and Nova Southeastern University (MS in Educational Leadership) and has served Palm Beach County schools since 2004.
At The Conservatory School, his tenure includes seven years as Assistant Principal and his appointment as Principal in 2022, during which he developed the middle grades (6-8) and its athletic department. He fosters a holistic learning environment, embedding the El Sistema philosophy with TCS's mantra of "Play. Passion. Purpose." and ensuring the impactful implementation of project-based learning from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

FOUNDER | TERESA STOUPAS
Teresa Stoupas is a veteran educator, spending the last 25 years as a school administrator in Palm Beach County, Florida. Always involved in the arts, she joined the inaugural faculty at Bak Middle School of the Arts in 1997. In 2010, inspired by her research, Stoupas launched the first El Sistema-inspired public school program in Palm Beach County at The Conservatory School. This program, the Children’s Orchestra and Performing Arts Project, now has over 900 student musicians and singers in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade, with all TCS students receiving a strong musical arts education.
The mantra of Play, Passion, & Purpose grounds her school's academic and performing arts work. In 2017, she founded the TCS Collaborative to support the creativity and capacity of educators to provide students with authentic learning experiences. It has been her great joy to work with others similarly inspired by children, learning, the arts, and innovation.
